I was commissioned in the Indian Air Force as a Gazetted Officer in the Engineering branch in the year 1995, soon after my graduation at KCT. It is a matter of pride to say today, that I have this opportunity to serve the nation, on behalf of the Defence Forces for the last 20 years. I started my career in the rank ‘Pilot Officer’ and progressing gradually, am now serving in the rank ‘Group Captain’ (equivalent to Colonel in the Army). I am presently holding the designation of ‘Director Acquisition’ in the Indian Air Force. Presently, my appointment contributes to smooth procurement of Defence Capital Assets for the Indian Air Force. After the ab-initio training at Air Force Technical College, I acquired training & certification for maintenance of two Western-origin front line fighter jetsnamely Jaguar& Mirage-2000. The most challenging moment of serving the squadron was when we had to deploy at the north-western borders for an active participation in Operation Vijay (Kargil War). The next was the participation in Operation Parakram for an endured period at the borders.Arming all the available jet fighters to carry out operational missions at the designated targets was the order of the day, throughout the mission period. As an Engineer, the biggest challenge was to rectify all the day-to-day snags in the aircraft and enable the best flying potential for the Air Force. It was the basic Engineering / Management skills learnt at KCT, which came handy to face this challenge.I was awarded the commendation by the Commander-in-Chief in the year 2007 and the commendation by the Chief of Air Staff in the year 2013 for exhibiting professionalism and contribution to service.

I started my career as Design Engineer for Textile Spares Mfg Company in Coimbatore for about 5 years, then I moved to my Current organization Trident Pneumatics Pvt Ltd. Here I started as R&D Engineer in 1998, then promoted as R&D Manager in 2002, then became GM Operations in 2008 to till now. Visited countries like USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, Czech, South Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore for meeting suppliers and Customers. Our company manufactures a range of compressed air cleaning products, achieved milestones like, India's Largest exporters (in numbers) in our product line. Also we have several life saving installations in USA. We also work with Defense for gas separation and filtration. Qualified Railways Air dryer supplier to GE Transportation and Indian Railways. My experience includes Design (Six Sigma), Manufacturing, Testing, Marketing strategy, Materials Mgt and Growth Mgt.
